Fair Usage Policy (FUP)

1. Philosophy & Community Commitment

At ARC HOST, we do not artificially restrict or throttle your normal usage. Our Fair Usage Policy ("FUP") is designed to ensure that no single customer excessively monopolizes shared host resources at the detriment of other developers on the same node.

Burstable CPU

100% burstable performance permitted whenever your server encounters spikes or startup routines.

Dedicated RAM

Every megabyte of memory allocated to your plan is physically reserved with zero overselling.

Unmetered Ports

High-speed 1 Gbps / 10 Gbps uplinks with fair bandwidth access for all gaming and bot traffic.

2. CPU Resource Allocation & Bursts

All shared hosting plans (Discord Bot Hosting, Minecraft, and Lavalink Nodes) are powered by high-IPC multi-core AMD Ryzen / Intel processors with containerized CPU limits:

Burstable Allowance: Servers may burst up to 100% of their allocated CPU limit during compilation, startup, bot guild synchronization, and player world joins.
Sustained High Utilization: If a container maintains 100% continuous CPU pegging for more than 4 consecutive hours without reasonable justification (such as un-optimized infinite loops or memory leaks), our automated supervisor may temporarily lower priority (nice value) and notify you to inspect your code.

3. Dedicated RAM Memory Allocation

ARC HOST strictly enforces non-oversold RAM policies. When you order a 2GB, 4GB, or 8GB plan, that physical RAM is locked to your container. You may utilize up to 100% of your allocated RAM at any time. If an application exceeds its allocated ceiling, the Linux kernel Out-Of-Memory (OOM) killer will safely restart the process rather than destabilizing neighboring instances.

4. NVMe Gen4 Storage & Disk I/O

All containers reside on ultra-fast enterprise NVMe Gen4 solid-state drives operating in RAID arrays. To protect drive endurance and fair I/O access:

Standard file operations, database transactions, Minecraft chunk generation, and music caching are completely permitted.
Continuous benchmarking loops (e.g. infinite fio / dd write scripts) or sustained multi-terabyte disk thrashing intended to exhaust SSD write cycles are prohibited.

5. Unmetered Network Bandwidth & Fair Access

Bandwidth on all plans is unmetered for regular operations (voice streaming, player connections, API polling, webhooks, and backups). However, services may not be utilized for:

Public torrent trackers or mass BitTorrent seedboxes.
Commercial proxy exit nodes or VPN gateways for external peer networks.
Mass video streaming mirrors or public CDN file dump distribution.

6. Communication & Remediation

If your server frequently touches FUP limits, our support team will reach out via Discord or email with performance recommendations and resource optimization tips before taking any administrative action.
